Every day when I'm at my computer, my poor neglected Cricut just sits there staring at me. I haven't used her for awhile! When I saw the challenge this week at the
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog, Shaped Cards, I started looking through my cart books. I came across a cute school bus in the Stretch Your Imagination oldie but goodie cartridge, and decided to play along. I use the Cricut Craft Room every time I use my Cricut too, just a great program. So I used the blackout and shadow feature for my bus card base, welding them together.
For the first layer I used the regular bus image, and also the sillouette which I cut in a dark brown cardstock. I used foam tape to attach these to my card base. I didn't think it need much embellishing because it is cute just as is. But, I stamped our City's name onto the bus before adhering, added some sequins for the lights, and wrote a bus number with my Picket Fence Distress Marker. I think this will be fun to give my son when he starts 2nd grade this year. Thank you for having a look!
