Just Super

Two posts in one day, WoHooooo!! :) This week's challenge at the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is Anything Goes!
I made a mini card 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches out of watercolor paper. I stamped the sentiment from the PS Market Fresh stamp set, then masked it off, and randomly stamped flowers and leaves from the Crystal Clear PS stamp set. I die cut a butterfly with thin cork paper from the PS Butterflies 3 die set and added some rhinestones for the body. A cute card that will be perfect with a little gift! Thanks for having a look today!

Time For School

Every day when I'm at my computer, my poor neglected Cricut just sits there staring at me. I haven't used her for awhile! When I saw the challenge this week at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog, Shaped Cards, I started looking through my cart books. I came across a cute school bus in the Stretch Your Imagination oldie but goodie cartridge, and decided to play along. I use the Cricut Craft Room every time I use my Cricut too, just a great program. So I used the blackout and shadow feature for my bus card base, welding them together.
For the first layer I used the regular bus image, and also the sillouette which I cut in a dark brown cardstock. I used foam tape to attach these to my card base. I didn't think it need much embellishing because it is cute just as is. But, I stamped our City's name onto the bus before adhering, added some sequins for the lights, and wrote a bus number with my Picket Fence Distress Marker. I think this will be fun to give my son when he starts 2nd grade this year. Thank you for having a look!

Flip It's

This is my newest addition to my Sizzix collection, the Flip It's dies. It is a Bigz L die that cuts a card with a flip center. I have another die with a flower in the center instead of the label. It took me hours to complete this card, even though the base is easy as can be!! I used a Sizzix/Hero Arts framelits stamp set for the small label on the front, and just the die for the inside which I cut a circle out of the center.
As far as the sentiments go, I used a partial stamping from a Paper Smooches set for the front, and a partial stamping from a Lawn Fawn set on the inside. That took a little time to look through my stamps to find the right combination and size!!! The inside also has some stamping of Tim Holtz stamps which are the mini blueprint sewing machine and thread spool. Then I embellished the labels a bit. Here is another view of the opened card.
Aren't they fun?!!! All papers and inks are from Stampin' Up! Thank you for having a look at my newest creation!

It's Christmas in July!

When I saw the challenge for the JustRite Papercrafts Friday Challenge, which is Christmas in July, I knew I wanted to play along. But, I only have one JustRite stamp set that I won from Michelle's blog. And it is called A Day in the Country. It's more of a Fall set, but there is one long sentiment that mentions every season. So I masked off the stamp and only used the Winter saying. I used multiple layers of the Lacey Circles dies from Spellbinders, and added some red striped ribbon and sequins to make it look more like a Christmas card. JustRite has some gorgeous new Christmas stamps, that will be on my list for sure!! Thank you for having a look today!

Stampin' Up! Card Shares

Here are a couple cards I made during my Stampin Up demo Holly's online class. The first one uses  new colors from the new catalog as well as that pretty embossing folder. The main 'stamped' image and label were created in My Digital Studio.

This one uses new papers and washi tape. I added a few punched shapes to the embossed panel for some interest. That's it from me today, if you haven't checked out the new Stampin Up catalog, you are in for a treat!!! Thank you for stopping by!

Sweet As Honey

Hi there! I finally got some time this week to play along with some challenges. I made this card following the color story from The Play Date Cafe, which is to use Burnt Umber, Honey, and Butter.
I used the Mama Elephant stamp set called Filigree, and inked the doily in Wild Honey Distress ink, the sentiment was inked with Burnt Umber Palette hybrid ink, and the buttery ribbon is from Stampin' Up!. I added a few brownish colored sequins as well. Thank you for having a look today!
