Chocolate Cow

That's what I used to tell my son where chocolate milk came from, a chocolate cow! He would laugh. This is my DT card for 2 Sister's Challenge Blog. Our theme this week is Birthday Fun, and our sponsor is Digital Delights, and I used an image called Claudia Cow. I colored her in with my new Pro Markers, which I am loving! I just need to get their bleedproof paper now! But this one isn't too bad, has almost a watercolor look! The papers are from Lily Bee Designs, and the sentiment is from an {ippity} set. Hope you'll join us this week! Thanks for looking in!

Mornin' Sunshine!

It's so nice to have the warm sunshine in the morning again! That is one reason why I used this {ippity} set called Farm Fresh for my DT card at Get Hippity with Ippity! Our theme is Things with Wings, and although the chicken isn't as pretty as a butterfly, she's still cute! Plus, my son loves my MIL's chickens that she has, and always tries to catch one when he's there! These are perfect down on the farm stamps, with a tractor and barn and other fun stamps to go along. I stamped my image and die cut it with a Spellbinders die, and stamped another chicken from patterned paper. All from DCWV. I wanted some type of sun rays, so I added some vintage rick rack around the top. There are only a few days left to enter this challenge! Check the links above to enter, or purchase this cute set from our {ippity} chick Aletha!

Envelope Card

I found this fun criss cross envelope card tutorial on youtube, and Cheri who is sponsoring this week's Chick Challenges {with ippity} has made one herself. It's very simple to do, and I love that it is something different than your ordinary card. I left the pull out card open for writing a little note. I used 2 Ippity sets on this one, Now and Always(my favorite!) and the sentiment from Regal Greetings. The pretty papers are from Pink Paislee, and an Ek Success and Martha Stewart border punches. Thanks for looking in!

Mini Album

I decided to do another page of my mini album for the Lawnscaping Challenge this week. The theme is Inspired By, which you are to make something inspired by another. I am always inspired by Eva Doblias. I love her style, color choices, and ability to layer wonderfully! Click here to see what I chose to from her as inspiration. When I saw her card, I knew I could use alot of Lawn Fawn's cute bird stamps, as well as the pine tree for my page. I always have to remember to leave a spot open for pictures! Which I will add ones of my husband and son later. I used 5 different Lawn Fawn sets on this page, which are listed below, as well as the papers used. Lawn Fawn is the sponsor this week, and are giving away a free stamp set!! I know I have a few on my wish list! Thank you for visiting!!
Materials used: Lawn Fawn sets: Jessie's ABC's, My Silly Valentine, Critters on the Farm, Critters in the Forest, Bannerific. Papers from: Pink Paislee, Lily Bee Designs, Basic Grey. Music note stamp from Unity Stamp Co. Memento and Ranger inks.

Happy Anniversary!

I made this card for my husband for our 5th wedding anniversary today! Yesterday we both thought it was our 6th! lol Shows how much we pay attention! I'm playing along with the sketch challenge at Chick Challenges {with ippity} I used quite a few Unity and Ippity stamp sets on this one. The large heart is from ippity's Loads of Love, and the small heart is from ippity's House a Home. The label stamp is from a Simple Stories itty bitty from Unity, and the sentiment I got from a Unity grab bag. Papers are Pink Paislee, and embellishments from my stash. Hope he likes it!

Paper Piecing

That is the theme this month at the Flashback Friday Challenges. This was my first paper pieced card that I posted just a little over a year ago. You can see the original post here. I used my favorite ippity set Now and Always, and pieced these flowers at the bottom. It's hard to tell in the pic, but they are layered with foam tape for dimension. Go enter this fun challenge yourself!! There is a $15.00 gift certificate from Paper and Such online store as the prize!!

Spots and Dots

That is the theme this week at 2 Sister's Challenge Blog, to use spots and dots. Our sponsor is Meljen's Designs, and I chose to use this Lil Rodeo Boy image. Very cute. He's colored with my pencils, and for the background, I punched various shapes of circles with different papers. The sentiment is stamped with my Lawn Fawn alphabet, and a bit of May Arts twine at the bottom. Click on the link above if you'd like to enter! Thanks for stopping by!

Fridge Magnet

Happy Friday everyone! Today, of course, I am playing along with Unity's Friends With Flair day! I have chosen to make something different, rather than a card or tag. This stamp image is one of my new Itty Bitty's called Everyday, Everywhere from the Co-Brand Authentique. I used Colorbox pigment ink on each of the little people, and Walnut Stain DI for the sentiment. And speaking of the sentiment, that's why I chose to make a magnet for our fridge, so we all can see this lovely saying every day! I used a heavy cardstock for the base so it would stand up to my son taking it on and off the fridge! I adhered the magnets to the back with glue dots. Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely weekend!! Oh, and Unity has an awesome sale this weekend, go check it out!!

Ribbons and Lace Oh My!

The theme this month at The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog is to use ribbon/and or lace. I've had this paper mache book box for years, and you can see below what it used to look like. My failed attempt at doing a type of collage. Which I'm still not good at! So I totally remade this into something more pleasing to my eyes. I painted it with a couple coats of acrylic paint, then just glued on some lace and ribbon. I have tons of lace from when I used to sew, and never use it. So now was a perfect time! I had to add some type of stamping, so I used my favorite ippity flower stamp. I stamped it twice onto dp, then clear embossed the whole flower. Cut them out, and stacked them together, and glued it on the box. Now I have a cute box to store some trinkets and embellishments in. Thanks for taking a look!

Pretty Plaid

I have not played along with Grungy Monday at Linda's Studio L3 blog in weeks(ok, months) :(  I get the ambition to play along, then never get it done. So this week, she has us revisiting Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas from 2009. I have never tried this before, and it's super easy, and looks wonderful. For my plaid I used Alcohol Inks ink Lettuce, Stonewashed, and Eggplant, and Ranger's glossy paper. I wasn't in the tag making mood, so I die cut my plaid with a Spellbinders die. Rubber stamps are from Unity and Ippity, and I used an Ideaology mini paper clip on the two labels(they're just too cute!). And the papers are from Pink Paislee. This card is off in the mail today to a friend who brought me over some things the other day! So that's my piece for Grungy Monday, I do apologize Linda for being gone so long! I do appreciate the challenge blog, and Simon Says Stamp is the wonderful sponsor this week!

My DT Inspiration

Welcome to another challenge at the 2 Sister's Challenge Blog! This week our theme is Spring Colors! We have two sponsors this week giving away prizes, The Digi Doodle Shop, and Inked Treasures. I am using a Digi Doodle Shop image called Spring Gathering. It is colored with my pencils, and cut out with my Creative Memories ovals pattern, and popped up on some Pink Paislee paper. The flowers are die cut from a Spellbinders Poinsettia die, but they don't look Christmasy to me! And the leaves are from May Arts. Come and join us this week, remember, you can use any stamp or image you'd like!! Just follow the theme!

Welcome Spring!

The other day I saw some crocus' blooming here in Ohio, so that's a good sign Spring weather is on it's way!! Since today is Friday, I made this card for the Unity's Friends With Flair day. I used my brand new Pink Paislee Spring Jubilee papers. So bright and cheerful! For the flowers, I stamped the ippity Bit of Burlap background stamp onto scrap paper, and punched them out with my Fiskars squeeze punch in 3 different ink colors. I stamped the sentiment from the ippity set Sweet Thoughts of Spring in black. I am also linking this to the Chick Challenges, but don't want to be put in the running for the prize because I already have the stamp set they're giving away! I just want to play along anyway! Thanks for taking a peek!!

Hay There!!

This week at the Lawnscaping Challenge blog, we are to follow this sketch.

I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set Critters on the Farm, and used the hay bale and sentiment. I stamped the bales, and cut them out, and arranged them in a pinwheel type pattern. I think it's quite cute, and can be sent to anyone for any occasion! Papers are from Pink Paislee, and Lily Bee Design, inks are Ranger DI. I made this cute bow from Emily's tutorial here. I don't have the Bow Easy, I just wrapped the twine around my fingers! Worked pretty well! Thanks Emily for showing us! That's it for me right now, Simon Says Stamp is the sponsor for the Lawnscaping Challenge this week, so click the link above and check it out!

Simply Sweet

Hello all, thanks for taking the time to pop in today! I have made this card for the Chick Challenges {with ippity}. This week we are following a sketch from Sarah! I have used the ippity set Sweet Thoughts of Spring, and made the background with the flower stamp and white pigment ink. Stamped the sentiment with Evergreen Bough DI, and punched it out. Added some twine, and a wee bit of embossing on the bottom of the card front. Check the challenge link out above, and enter yourself to win some free stamps!!

DT Time!!

Time for a new challenge at the 2 Sister's Challenge Blog! The theme this week is a fun one. We are to follow a 'recipe'. 1 image, 2 patterned papers, and 3 embellishments. Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Stamps, and I have chosen a Delicious Doodles image called Delphinium. My Mother loves these flowers, so I thought it was appropiate to make her a Mother's Day card. It's colored with my pencils, and cut out with a Spellbinders die. The papers are from Pink Paislee, the sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly, and the pearls are from The Paper Studio. I must say I was overwhelmed with last week's challenge, there were near 450 entries! Holy mother of blogging!! Click on the link above if you'd like to enter this week, and happy crafting!!

Happy Friday!

It's time for the linky party at the Unity blog for Friends With Flair! This is the card that I showed in my video a few posts below. The heart pick was stamped from the ippity set Loads of Love with Walnut Stain Distress ink, and I sponged the edges with Ripe Persimmon DI. All the papers are from the Authentique Gathering collection. I cut 3 of the flowers out and added them to the card front. The sentiment is from the ippity set The Simple Things, and I punched it out with an EK Success label punch. I am also linking this to the Unity Challenge Blog, where the theme is to use hearts that aren't red or pink. Thank you for stopping by, and enjoy the weekend!!
