Celebrate

Sharing what I made for Unity Stamp Co.'s facebook challenge. I used two Itty Bitty stamps on this, Love is my Anchor and Celebrate.

I stamped the anchor to make my own background paper. The sailboat and sentiment come together, and I used markers to ink them up. I used a blender pen and ink for the water, and a little linen thread for texture.

Jars of Daises

Playing along with a sketch challenge this week at Splitcoast Stampers. My main image is from Unity, the current kit of the month. I colored it with my Spectrum markers and die cut it out adding a layer behind as well.

The plaid paper is from My Favorite Things, and I added some SU! ruffled trim, and some paper lace that I colored with markers. Originally it was white, and I thought it looked better with some color.

A couple of punched butterflies finished off the elements of the sketch. I didn't add a sentiment to the front, will add something later on the inside.

Coloring on Kraft

I've seen many, many projects where they have colored on kraft paper. I have never tried it until now. This image and sentiment is from the current May KOTM from Unity.

The pencils I used are actually water color, but I didn't blend them. I like the softer look being on the kraft paper, which is Crumb Cake from SU!. I'm anxious to try this out with other images now!! :)

The designer paper is from SU! as well, it was a free pack from their Sale-a-Bration, card base is kraft paper, and it was part of my free gift from Unity. Being a kit of the month member, you get a little something extra when your stamps arrive!! Love that!

Thank you for having a look today!!

Sweet Slushy

Had a play today with Unity's May kit of the month. I chose this yummy image that I made into a slushy. It could easily be made into a sundae or milkshake.

I colored it with my Spectrum markers, and then put a thick layer of glossy accents on the cup lid:

It gives such a fun look! I fussy cut it out once it was totally dry, put a little shading under it and glued it down. I did emboss the red card to give some texture, and added a couple candy dots as well. The sentiment is in the same kit, and well, life is damn good when you get a treat like this on a hot Summer day! :)

Hope you enjoyed my fun treat, I had fun making it!

Makers of Music

Sharing a card I made with one of my latest Joy Clair stamp sets called Music Makers. There are lots of images in this set, and I used about half of them on this card, I don't have anything like this stamp set, so it was fun creating it.

I stayed with two colors, black and Strawberry Slush. I didn't add any embellishments, I thought all of the cute notes were enough.

Scrap Page

Sharing a 6x6 scrap page I made with my first S.M.A.K.(scrapbooking, mixed media, altered art kit) kit from Unity Stamp Co. I love the images in this kit! They are larger in size, which makes them perfect for scrap pages.

I kept the colors to a minimum. I'm not much into the whole grunge type art, but I just love these. So pink is the first color I thought of using, and paired it with a brown, and a touch of blackberry for the sentiment and shading. All colors from Stampin' Up!

I love the sentiment, it matches my style perfectly! I'm a bit on the quirky side, even if my paper crafting isn't. So although there is no photo, this will certainly be a page in my album!!

I'm sharing this with the folks at Try It On Tuesday's where the theme is Spots, Dots, and Splashes. Thanks so much for having a look!!

A Thank You

Unity Stamp Co. has an inspiration photo challenge to follow on their FB page, and this is what I've made. Here is the lovely photo:

I inked this butterfly stamp from the April KOTM with markers to give a variation in color. The smaller butterfly is inked the same way, and I got it in a grab bag of stamps. A couple of die cut layers, twine, punched vellum butterflies, and the sentiment is from an itty bitty stamp that Camille sent me. So this card is off in the mail to her for the goodies she sent me:

She posted the Prince tag on FB and I said I loved it, and wanted it, so she mailed it to me along with the other goodies!! Not only do I love her tribute to the late Prince, but the rocker chick is actually a Unity stamp that she altered and added her face to it!!! So very cool!! :) She also sent a mini card and a small mixed media canvas, and the itty bitty stamp!! Crafty friends are the best!! <3

Thanks so much for visiting.....I am going to enjoy my week off and do a little work, and lots of creativity!! :)

Pandas for a Sketch

Hi there! Today I'm sharing the card I made for Unity Stamp Co.'s sketch challenge on their facebook group. I've used their stamp kit called Plenty of Pandas, aren't they cute?!

After stamping the pandas, I used a small heart stamp from March's kit of the month, a perfect size. The sentiment comes with the pandas kit, and I've punched that out. A couple of pattern papers, bit of a doily, and some flower rhinestones was all I needed.

A Little Cutie

Just sharing this cute little image I got from C.C. Designs stamps. I think she has the cutest face! I colored her with my Spectrum and Letraset markers.

She is die cut and layered with Spellbinders dies, and the large scalloped oval is from Sizzix(Stampin' Up!) Using an 1/8" hole punch, I punched all around each scallop to make it a little more fancy. This card measures 5" x 5".

The plaid paper is from My Favorite Things, and the card stock colors are Coastal Cabana and Perfect Plum from Stampin' Up!.

Colorful Birdie

When I start coloring birds, I don't keep with the traditional types of birds. I just make them any color I want! :)

This sweet bird and sentiment are more images from the April kit of the month from Unity Stamp Co. It's colored again with my alcohol markers. I got two more Unity kits out, to make the branch I've used the SO this is Love kit and partially inked a trees image. He had to have something to stand on! And for the leafy branches I've used another tree image from the Donna Downey kit Imagine It.

I love the sentiment!! I used my stampa-ma-jig to get it stamped straight, works perfectly on rubber stamps! I didn't add any embellishments this time, just a little ink blending around the edges.

Thanks so much for visiting today, have a great weekend, and have a Happy Mother's Day on Sunday!

ATC Page

I've made this ATC page for the challenge at Joy Clair. There is an inspiration board to follow, along with Someone Special:

Unspecified
Soft, pretty colors for Spring don't you think?! I used 5 different Joy Clair stamp sets on these, Bandana Bits, Hugs & Smiles, Paisley Bouquet, Song of Solomon, and Dream Big. I mixed and matched sets, used full and partial sentiments, and just had fun creating these little ATC's. Here is a closer look at them:

I also used some pattern papers, ribbon, twine, and candy dots for embellishments. I even stamped on a piece of vellum and colored the back side for one(last pic, second row, far right). It doesn't show well, I was trying not to get a glare from the baseball card pocket page that they are in.

This challenge runs all month long, so if you'd like to join in there is plenty of time! The winner will receive a $25.00 gift card to the Joy Clair online store!!! And if you don't own any of their stamps yet, that's alright, your not required to use them.

Thanks so much for visiting today!!

For Mom

Playing along with the color challenge at Splitcoast. The colors to use this week are Blackberry Bliss, Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz.

I heat embossed the rose in black, then water colored it in. I stamped the background with the light blue, and the sentiment with the light purple. It looked a bit light to me, so I coated the sentiment with wink of Stella.

I'll send this off to Mom for Mother's Day. Thank you for having a look!
