Partial Die Cut Butterfly

Hi there! Today's card shows how I partially die cut the butterfly from the Butterflies Framelits. I only die cut the wings, and kept the body intact. It gives a different effect, rather than having the whole butterfly die cut, then applied to the front. And this technique also gives you a window of sorts, to decorate the backside.

For my window, I put a piece of Cherry on Top designer paper in the cute cherries pattern. I think this is my favorite pattern from this stack! :) The front panel is Watermelon Wonder card stock, and I stamped images from the Butterfly Basics set with Versmark ink to give a light pattern.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set, and is inked with Cucumber Crush, matching the card base. I also added a row of large pearls to the butterfly body to make it stand out more.

Thanks so much for visiting today!!

3x3 Mini Card Using Sprinkles of Life

Hi there! Today's mini card is so sweet! It's fun creating miniature versions of larger cards, especially when your stamps/punches fit perfectly on the smaller card front!

As the title says, it is a 3" x 3" card. I've use the Sprinkles of Life stamp set, and it's matching punch. These will be available to order on June 2nd! And this card is also part of my brand new 'Paper Kit' that I am starting next month. I will share more info, and a video the first part of June. But basically, you purchase the stamp set, and you will get the paper kit to make this card/envelope and another project for free! No club to join, and no commitment to purchase! Here is the card and envelope:

The envelope was made using the Envelope Punch Board, and the brand new 6x6 paper pad, Cherry on Top! I love having the new size of paper stack!! Later on I will share another project for this paper kit, so stay tuned! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Butterfly Basics

Hi there! Today I'm sharing a card made with the Butterfly Basics stamp set and it's matching Butterfly Framelits. I've just now got my hands on them, since they've been sold out for awhile. This is the stamp set I showed in the video yesterday, and will be carried over into the new catalog!

I tried the random collage stamping again, and am happy with the results. I used softer color inks to not distract from the die cut butterflies. Which, by the way, use two brand new In Colors Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder!

When I die cut these, I used wax paper in between the die. It worked great, but I did have to run them through my machine twice using the magnetic platform. I haven't tried the regular multipurpose platform yet, I think that it is a little bit tighter fit. But Stampin' Up!'s 80lb card stock holds up perfectly even in this intricate shape.

Going to try to get some crafting in today, Friday's are usually my running around day, but it looks like it's going to rain, so what a perfect time to go stow away for awhile!! :)

Thanks so much for visiting today!!

Yesterday I received my new Stampin' Up! goodies!!!! :) But before I went haywire using everything new, I first wanted to create some things with the returning Occasions stamp sets.

Also I wanted to share the inside of the card. I never show insides, because they are always blank!! But this one got all dressed up!! ;) This is a bigger card than I normally make, it's 5x7

Playful Tree Tops

Yesterday I shared a glimpse of some returning Occasions catalog stamp sets in my video. Well, today's card uses two of them. From the Holiday catalog is the White Christmas stamp set. I am sooooo happy this one is staying! It's such a cute set, and although it is Christmas themed, you can see I've made it a Summer scene!

The trees in this set are completely bare. So I added some fun punched designer paper circles to them. The sun stamp is from the Kinda Eclectic set from the main catalog, and the sentiment, flowers, and 'grass' is from the current Occasions set Sheltering Tree which will also be in the new catalog! I love this stamp set too! :)

The card base is Marina Mist, love that blue! Can't wait to get my order of new items, especially the In Colors! Love them!! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a happy weekend!!

Lovely As A Tree Is A Classic

The Lovely As A Tree stamp set has been around a long time. It's a perfect classic set with it's multiple tree images. I've chosen the single pine, and stamped it in Mossy Meadow, then used the Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker to color the trunk.

The dotted background paper is from the Irresistibly Yours Sale-A-Bration pack, that I've inked in Hello Honey to bring out the pattern. And I'll give you a heads up on the new catalog, a new pack of this paper is coming!!! :)

The sentiment is from a current Occasions catalog set called Moon Lake, and will only be available for a few more weeks! And I've added some stitching, which I haven't done in forever! I still love that look.

I'll be back tomorrow to announce the winners of my giveaway!!! Thank you for stopping by!

Bow Builder Punch

Hi there! When I first saw the Bow Builder Punch in the Occasions Catalog, it was the first thing I put on my list! :) I love it when I can create a cute accent with just a punch! And last week I got a sneak peek of the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, and this punch will be in it! So happy, cause I love my punches!!

To make this bow, you need to punch your paper twice, then start building your pieces. I use glue dots to hold mine together. For this card, I used the retiring In Color designer series paper. The sentiment is from a Sale-A-Bration set, and the card base is Blushing Bride.

This card can still be mailed, as the bows aren't too big. I've also used the bow 'tails' for ears on animal punch art. Another bonus! :)
