Nautical Summer

Between working and trying to set upp a new blog(which is not going well!) I haven't had much time to craft this week. Then this morning I wanted to take a picture of a Mother's Day card I made, and my battery went dead in my camera, so it is charging right now! I did manage to take this picture yesterday morning, and also am seeing if my blogger account is still cooperating. So far so good! I am playing along with the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge this week which is a trend watch for this:
Now, since I do not have any PS nautical themed stamps, this was a bit of a challenge. So I used a border stamp from the PS shadows stamp set and made a 'rope' frame for my seaside scene. I added a little hemp twine for a more rustic look. I then used a PS border die to make my waves with different blues card stock. For the sunset I blended some Wild Honey distress ink onto the scrap of white that was cut out from my frame. I used the sentiment from the PS Market Fresh stamp set and stamped it onto some Samantha Walker's digital papers that I printed out. I thought the sentiment was cute and fitting for looking at the ocean view!! If I can still use my blogger account, I will keeep this one and not the wordpress blog I just set up. It is not very user friendly, and am having trouble inserting pictures into the posts. Sorry to give my followers the run around!! I hope you will be patient with me!! Thank you for stopping by today!!

Hi Pam, now that was creative! I love it... looks like somewhere I would very much like to be about now... away from all the flies too! :D

Hi Pam! I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day! I think you did an awesome job creating a nautical-themed card without any nautical PS stamps! I just bought those Samantha Walker digital papers (well, I got the whole kit!!!) last week and canNOT wait to use them. Your rope frame is delightful!
