Reverse Stamping with Sheltering Tree

I always forget about the reverse stamping until I see someone do it!! Stampin' Up! released videos from the last Leadership Conference, and a stamping sample showed this technique. So, of course I had to do it!!

You use the back side of the photopolymer stamp to get a solid image first, like I did with the top of the tree. I inked it in Pear Pizzazz, then stamped off on a piece of scrap, then stamped onto my card front. It gives a light background to the tree, then you flip the stamp to it's correct way, and stamp again. The leaves stand out, and makes the tree look much fuller! Love this look!

The overall layout idea came from my upline Holly, but I added the swing image to it, and curved it a bit to make it seem in motion. I'll have to try and remember this technique now, and see what other stamps I can use this on!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
