Memories Expo Recap

Well, my time at the Memories Expo is over, and it really was a great show! It was in a smaller building, but was still packed full of paper crafting goodness!! I didn't take many photos, I was more interested in looking at everything!! I was excited to have met and talked to Tim Holtz's sidekick Mario!! He even signed my little journal, so that made my happy. I did not get to meet or even talk to Tim Holtz, not even eye contact, but that's fine, I took a few photos and can say at least that I saw him in person! The second photo above is my son. I was trying to get a picture of him and Tim in the same shot, but either my son would move or Tim would move, so they are all blurry. But that's the way it goes!! Now, onto other interests at the show! My Mom and I just loved Our Daily Bread stamps. They have gorgeous flowers, scenes, animals, you name it in stamps. And the sample cards were just amazing! So stunning. Another company that I fell in love with is Darcie's Heart and Home. Lots of stamps, but the most amazing shrink plastic I've seen. It is far better than what I have, so of course I had to buy some! ;) The lady did a demo for my son of a cute little bear, and for the face there is matching button. Not the sewing kind, but like a pin on button. Anyway, check their website out, really cute stuff! We of course visited the Sizzix booth, and my son got to help with the demo by using the Vagabond machine. He helped make a Flip It card, and he gave it to me(so sweet!). I also picked up some new papers at the Jillibean Soup booth. I just love their papers!! My son and I both got some new washi tape too! Yes, my son LOVES the washi tape!!! There were a lot of laser cut pre-made scrapbook overlays that had people's interest, but I'm not real crazy about them, so didn't get any of those. Lots of supplies to purchase, but I had to watch my wallet!! There is an actual stamping show in Akron that I may just treat myself to in April for my birthday!! Lots more stamp companies will be there, and I would LOVE to go!! That's enough chatting for now about the show, if you have made it down this far thanks for reading!! Have a lovely week ahead!

I loved reading all about your expedition, Pam! Sounds like it was an amazing show and that you found tons of cool new toys. Your son got to do a lot--wow!! That's pretty neat. Can't wait to see some of the creations you make with your new goodies. :D

Glad you had a great time at the expo, Pam! So cool that you saw so many new products. My son loves washi tape, too. In fact, I think he uses it way more than I do! Haha.
