Extreme Masking

While browsing through some of my older posts from years ago, I came across a Christmas tag I made that used the Extreme Masking technique. I haven't done this in years, and thought that the Stars framelits would be perfect for this!

You use both the positive and negative parts of the mask. It gives you a wonderful image that pops right off the page, but yet is all one layer.

This will be perfect for the upcoming 4th of July celebration! Supplies I used are below. And I'm sure there is a video tutorial somewhere on YouTube for this, but I got it from Tim Holtz's first book.

Thank you for having a look!!

Real Red, Whisper White card stock

Not Quite Navy, Real Red inks

Stars Framelits

Masking Paper-Inkadinkado

Festival of Trees stamp set-star image

Weathered background stamp

Sentiment from Hero Arts

White Bakers Twine

This is a WOW! Looks a bit hard to me. Maybe you could do a video?

The star does pop off the page and looks as if its raised up. A fantastic one layer card.
