A Jolly Santa
Hello! So I was browsing through one of my favorite sites again, Splitcoaststampers, and found these adorable Santa cards made by a few different Ladies. I fell in love with this jolly old soul, and had to make a few myself!! Each one I made was slightly different, just the decorations on his hat was all that I changed. I do not know exactly who made this first, but I thank you so much! I just have to keep one for myself, and display it by my other decorations!! :) He is made with an embossing folder, a circle template, a few punches and dies. Very quick and easy, and oh so cute! I am sending my jolly Santa to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge where the theme is Christmas this week. Thank you for taking the time to check out Santa today!

Sweet Birdhouse Ornament
This birdhouse was made from a milk carton template that I got some time ago from Mirkwood Designs. There are many free templates that you can download there, so go check them out! I have made the milk carton before, but never into a birdhouse. I think it's the perfect shape! To make the roof, I cut a piece of cardstock 3" x 6" folded it in half, then opened it up to emboss it. It is held in place with a little tape, and I punched a hole in the top of all the layers, then added some ribbon. All the embellishments are punched shapes, except for the two topiary trees in the front which are from a Sizzix Strip die. I added some glossy accents to the door and around the windows, then sprinkled on some pink glitter. The grass is cut from the cool Martha Stewart scissors, then glued on. I am following the colors from The Play Date Cafe this week which are Evergreen, Gumdrop, and Candy Cane Red.
Thank you for looking!

White on Kraft
I love the look of white on kraft! I wanted to do a Christmas card this way, and chose to use the Ornaments set from Market Street Stamps. The large blank ornaments in this set have so many possibilites! I used the flourish stamp in this set to dress them up a bit. I didn't want to add any color to the sentiment so I embossed it in white too. But, it needed some color, so I added two small bows in a sweet green plaid. And, it's still perfect for mailing!! I am joining in the Market Street Stamps Block Party with this card. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!!

Snowball People
I saw the cutest snowball people stamps the other day, and thought I would try making my own with punches! They are all made with one circle punch, and the faces I drew on with a fine tip marker. The patterned paper is from Bazzill, their Beachouse collection that I won from Emily! I added some snowflakes with my white glaze pen and also on the snowballs for sale stamp, which is a long retired Stampin Up! set. The sentiment on the inside is computer generated. I wanted a cute sentiment to match my snowball people, and think this one is perfect! I am playing along with the colors at The Play Date Cafe, which are, Mountain, Icy Blue, and Snowflake.
Thanks for checking out my cute little snowball people!

Owl Be Home for Christmas
I just got this owl punch from Stampin Up, and had to make a Christmas card with it! I used a combination of cardstock and digital papers on this, as well as punches and die cuts. The sentiment is also from Stampin Up. One of my owl loving friends will receive this! I am sending this card to the Seems A Little Sketchy challenge blog, where I am following their sketch this time around. Thank you for stopping by!

A Market Street Christmas!
Hello! I'm still working away with my Christmas cards, and have made this one with 3 different Market Street Stamp sets. The new set called Ornaments, Woodland, and Life is Beautiful! To get the ornament shape, I punched a large circle and used the negative as a mask. I stamped the images inside the circle with various colors of inks, then used Antique Linen distress ink around the edges to make it stand out. I then colored the ornament hanger with a marker and stamped it on top, colored it in, then used some stickles for sparkle. I hope you like it! I am entering this to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge where the theme is Anything Goes. Thanks for stopping in!

A Thank You
I made this little Thank You note card to send off with a stamp that someone bought from me at Splitcoast Stampers. I always try to include some type of card to send to buyers, and with all my fall/Thanksgiving cards done, I went with a Christmas theme. The tree image stamp is from Inkadinkado, sentiment from Unity, red plaid paper from K&Company, and cardstock from Bazzill that I won from my good blogging friend Emily(thank you!) I am entering this card to the Simon Says Stamp and Show where the theme is Thank You. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!!

A Vintage Christmas
When it comes to decorating for the holidays, my house gets missed!! I just do not have the knack for decorating at all!! But my mother on the other hand, goes all out! Her style is much like the vintage image of this card, colors and all! So this one will be mailed to her! The image is called Christmas Carols, and is from The Paper Shelter. They have the most beautiful digital images! This one is only $3.00 and comes already colored, an outline image to color, the colored image with background, and just the background! Talk about an awesome value!! I chose to use the image already colored with the background, I used lots of paper punches and die cuts to dress up this easel card. The sentiment is computer generated, and dressed it up by layering punched labels. I am sending this to The Paper Shelter challenge blog where the theme is an easel card with a Christmas theme. You don't have to use their images to enter, but if you do, you have a chance of winning $30.00 worth of images!!!!!! Thank you for stopping in to have a look!

A Basket of Leaves
I saw this cute basket with leaves on Splitcoast Stampers, I believe, and thought it was the cutest! So I gave it a try. The basket itself was made from a Stampin Up Sizzix lines embossing folder, with strips of paper for the 'banding'. The leaves and acorn(which my son calls coconuts!!) I cut out with my Cricut using the cartridges Stretch Your Imagination and Give a Hoot. Then I embossed them with two different Cuttlebug embossing folders for texture. All of the cardstock is from Stampin Up, which cuts wonderfully on my Cricut Create!! And the only stamping(other than sponging the leaves), is my sentiment which is from Unity. I am sending this card to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog where their theme is Fall Harvest-to use leaves on your project. And also to Unity's Friends with Flair day (for my wee stamping of the sentiment), which I haven't participated in for some time now! Thanks for dropping by, and have a fun weekend!!

A Purple Kind of Winter!
The title sounds odd I know, but what the heck, instead of blues and browns for winter, how about some purples?!! I got my inspiration from The Play Date Cafe for their color challenge this week.
Isn't that pretty!! I used lots of die cuts and Unity stamps on this card, and shockingly, I decorated the inside!! LOL
This card is going to be sent to Vera Yates(Ling) for her Caring Hearts card drive, where she is collecting cards to give to the elderly at nursing homes. Here is a link to her blog with all the info if you would like to donate some handmade holiday/seasonal cards! Thank you for stopping by and having a look!

A Thank You
I had signed up for an ornament swap a few months ago, and have now received the ornaments that someone has made for me. I made this card for her to Thank her for the things that she made! I got my inspiration from the Chick Challenges with {ippity} for this sketch challenge.(this is their last challenge too!)
I used two {ippity} stamp sets on this card, The Simple Things(berries and leaves), and Regal Greetings(sentiment). The red dsp is digital paper I printed from Stampin Up. A perfectly themed Thank You card! I am also sending this card to The Crafter's Cafe where they want to see a Thank You. And, thank you for stopping by!!

Harvest Blessings
Thought I would switch gears from my Christmas cards to a Thanksgiving one. I cut the ovals from my Creative Memories oval patterns in 2 sizes. I sponged on Vintage Photo DI for shading, and cut out 2 Tim Holtz mini flourish Sizzix M&S die cuts for vines. The sentiment actually comes from a Unity/Jillibean Soup Christmas stamp set that I only inked the word Blessings with my Stampin Write marker, then paper punched it out. The back of the card is just another oval that I scored on one side only so it would open correctly. And I got lucky that the card sits upright and not tip to one side or the other!! I also made sure that this would fit into an A2 size envelope, perfect for mailing!! I am sending this card off to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog where the theme is Get In Shape, make a shaped card. Thanks so much for stopping in!!

Christmas Punch Art
I love to make punch art. I just couldn't do without my punches in my supplies at all! There are so many possibilities and combinations that you can do with them! If your looking for inspirational punch art, check out Splitcoast stampers gallery. Do a search for punch art, and you will find over 500 pages worth!!!!!! Ok, so onto my little round Christmas birdies. They are made from my circles punches, and Stampin Up's pennant punch. I drew on the legs, and have them standing on a Stampin Up sizzlit leaves die cut. The faint background behind the birds was stamped with a Hero Arts background with Antique Linen DI. The background paper is digital, and do not know the maker! I had a sentiment punched out to put on the front, but it was too large, and decided to just stamp the inside. I added pearls to the eyes which fits the theme at Simon Says Stamp and Show, which is to 'Just Add Pearl'. I hope all those who were and are affected by Hurricane Sandy stay safe. I live in Ohio, so we were affected here too, just nothing like the east coast. My thoughts are with them.

Trees in Gold
I'm still in Christmas card mode, and decided to play along this week at The Play Date Cafe, where they want to see the colors Mint, Gold, and Leather.
I stamped this Stampabilities tree with versamark and embossed it in gold. The mint cardstock I dry embossed with a classic swiss dot pattern, and the tan cardstock is from SU! and is called Soft Suede. All very fitting for this color challenge! The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. Here is another view of the gold tree.
Thanks for taking a look today! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Fall Colors
The colors of Fall are so pretty. It's calming for me to see the leaves change in multiples of color. We have 2 large maple trees in our front yard that are always a beauty to look at this time of year. My card here shows the maple leaves in different colors as I see them in real life. I was inspired by The Play Date Cafe's 3rd Birthday celebration challenge to use the colors Flame, Grape, and Mulberry.
I kept the design CAS to show off the pretty Rubber Stampede small maple stamp image. So I just made a border with it using DI inks in Ripe Persimmon, Seedless Preserves, and SU's Cranberry Crisp. Added a Unity sentiment with Walnut Stain DI, and wrapped around some twine for texture. All cardstock is from SU, and I embossed the 'grape' piece for even more texture. Thank you for dropping in to have a look!

Halloween is near!
I found these cute witches shoes on Splitcoast Stampers, and a link to the instructions here. They are just so fun! And I just so happened to have the Top Note die needed to make them! Sizzix also has a die similar in shape to this Stampin Up! one in case that's not available for you. The shoes themselves are made with the die cut, a circle punch for the top of the shoe, and two square punches for the buckles, which I used sticky tape and glitter for mine. The two corner embellishments are made from a border punch, and the dangling spiders are actually an upside down frog punch which I had to cut off his poor little legs!! But everything seemed to work out for me! The sentiment was computer generated in a fun font. Cardstock from Stampin Up!, and patterned paper from Authentique. My witches shoes card fits perfectly for the Simon Says Stamp challenge, which is to use dies and/or punches!! Thanks for taking a look!
