Sweet Jelly Beans

Another fun use for the Paper Smooches Grocery Cart Die! Fill it with jelly beans! Now, who wouldn't love that?! Just don't eat them all at once! ;) I was inspired by this week's Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger-Pastel Pretties.
So, all of my Sizzix die cut jelly beans are in pastel colors, and thought the white grocery card could be their 'basket'. I thought and searched awhile for a sentiment on the front, and decided to use this sticker that I have had for some time from Creative Memories. And for the inside I could put something like, 'Have a sweet Easter', or 'Hope your Easter is as sweet as you!'. The cardstock, pearls, and twine are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for having a look at my cart full of sweet today!!

Memories Expo Recap

Well, my time at the Memories Expo is over, and it really was a great show! It was in a smaller building, but was still packed full of paper crafting goodness!! I didn't take many photos, I was more interested in looking at everything!! I was excited to have met and talked to Tim Holtz's sidekick Mario!! He even signed my little journal, so that made my happy. I did not get to meet or even talk to Tim Holtz, not even eye contact, but that's fine, I took a few photos and can say at least that I saw him in person! The second photo above is my son. I was trying to get a picture of him and Tim in the same shot, but either my son would move or Tim would move, so they are all blurry. But that's the way it goes!! Now, onto other interests at the show! My Mom and I just loved Our Daily Bread stamps. They have gorgeous flowers, scenes, animals, you name it in stamps. And the sample cards were just amazing! So stunning. Another company that I fell in love with is Darcie's Heart and Home. Lots of stamps, but the most amazing shrink plastic I've seen. It is far better than what I have, so of course I had to buy some! ;) The lady did a demo for my son of a cute little bear, and for the face there is matching button. Not the sewing kind, but like a pin on button. Anyway, check their website out, really cute stuff! We of course visited the Sizzix booth, and my son got to help with the demo by using the Vagabond machine. He helped make a Flip It card, and he gave it to me(so sweet!). I also picked up some new papers at the Jillibean Soup booth. I just love their papers!! My son and I both got some new washi tape too! Yes, my son LOVES the washi tape!!! There were a lot of laser cut pre-made scrapbook overlays that had people's interest, but I'm not real crazy about them, so didn't get any of those. Lots of supplies to purchase, but I had to watch my wallet!! There is an actual stamping show in Akron that I may just treat myself to in April for my birthday!! Lots more stamp companies will be there, and I would LOVE to go!! That's enough chatting for now about the show, if you have made it down this far thanks for reading!! Have a lovely week ahead!

Hello Sunshine!!

It has been sunny here the last couple days, and it is very welcomed!! I was inspired by the warm sun, and the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge to make this card! The cute sun and sentiment are free digi stamps from Paper Smooches that I printed off onto some Coconut Lime Soup papers from Jillibean Soup. I just love the sentiment on top of the limes!! I wanted to add a real stamped image, so I got out my Needle Little Love Paper Smooches set, and stamped the sweet little hearts above the banner. The perfect little touch! Here is the SPARKS challenge cool shades colors, Tangerine, Deep Orange, Lime, and Lemon.
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you get some sunshine today!!

Just a quick post to enter my Tattered Floral headband at Tim Holtz's blog. All the pieces were die cut with grungepaper, and stamped, embossed, covered with patterned paper, spritzed, sprayed, you name it, it's been done!! My son is my lovely model, and he will also be coming with me to the Memories Expo to see/meet Tim Holtz and Mario! Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Chick

I'm playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Challenge where the theme is Easter/Spring this week. I used The Alley Way Stamps set called Spring Has Sprung to put the cute chickie and egg in my own polaroid digi stamp. I thought the sentiment on the front is a perfect greeting, and then on the inside is happy Easter.
It's been a week of work for me, but I'm off tomorrow and am SO excited that I get to go to the Memories Expo in Columbus, Ohio!! The infamous Tim Holtz and sidekick Mario will be there!! This will be my first time seeing/meeting them and just can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for dropping in!

Pretty Mums

Hello all! I just got this stamp set from a new stamp company called Mama Elephant(cute right?!), and had to use these pretty flowers! The stamp set is called Lovely Mums, and I like that it has a solid shape and an outline shape. So many possibilities with this one! I got my color combo from The Play Date Cafe's Color Splash to use Black, White, and a splash of Coral.
Cardstock, ink and twine from Stampin' Up! Thank you for stopping by!

Sew Cute!

When I first saw this new Grocery Cart die from Paper Smooches, I just 'had' to put it in my cart!! It is the cutest and most original die I own! So many things you could fill this with, even a gift card!! I decided to fill my cart with sewing items from the Paper Smooches Needle Little Love stamp set, again so cute!! I stamped each one and fussy cut them out and filled up my cart! There is even a flower button and heart in the bottom of the cart, images from the same stamp set. And how about that sentiment?! So fun!! The background and border was also stamped, and I thought stitching around the patterned paper square was needed! I got my layout inspiration from the Paper Smooches SPARKS designer drafts challenge with this sketch.
Thank you sew much for shopping dropping by!!!!

Best Friend Washi

Is washi your best friend?! Well, it's mine now when I want to create a quick and easy card! My inspiration came from the Moxie Fab world's Card Creations Week, where today it's the Chevron Challenge.
I got this pink chevron washi from my sweet friend Emily! I covered a piece of chipboard with it, then die cut it out. The oh so cute sentiment is from Technique Tuesday's Sweet Somethings stamp set. And instead of just sticking down some washi, I folded it over on itself and cut the ends to make arrows to point to the sweet sentiment. Thanks for checking out my quick CAS card today, and be sure to also check out the Moxie Fab World blog for all the week long challenges!!

Bubbly Hello

A speech bubble hello that is!! I am playing along again with the Card Creations Week at the Moxie Fab World blog for the Speech Bubble challenge.
I decided to make my own speech bubble with craft wire, and it is held in place in the back with a little washi tape. The sentiment is from the new Lawn Fawn stamp set called So Much To Say. The papers, ink and twine are from Stampin' Up!. This is a mini 3x3 card. Check the link out above to enter your Moxie Fab approaches to this week's challenges! Thank you for looking!

Easter Eggs

I have another Easter card to share today, and I was inspired by The Alley Way Stamps BE Inspired challenge with this photo.
I used the stacking of these images for my inspiration. I thought a stack of eggs would be cute. I used an Alley Way Stamps set called Spring Has Sprung. My son also wanted to play along(he's 6) so here is his card.
Thanks for stopping!

Love the Negative

You have to make yourself love the negative in life sometimes! Besides, without a negative there would be no positive right?! Anyway, over at the Moxie Fab World they are celebrating the release of Card Creations Volume 11 with some challenges.
This one is to Emphasize the Negative.  You always have a negative when die cutting on any machine, and sometimes it's nice to use the negative as I did on this Tim Holtz Movers and Shapers butterfly die. I've been wanting to do this on a card for awhile, and now is the perfect time! I let the die cut hang over the edge of my cardstock to sort of cut part of it off. I like that look. Then I die cut another butterfly in a coordinating cardstock to make it stand out. All of the 'stamped' images are digtial, as well as the background paper that I made in My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up!. Here is a close up of my use of the negative die cut.
Thanks for taking time to stop by today!
