Red White and Blue

Yes, it's almost the 4th of July here in the states, and our theme this week at 2 Sister's Challenge Blog is red, white, and blue with the option of bling. This is a special Blogaversary challenge with 5 sponsors, and more prizes to win! This is also my very last DT post for the 2 Sister's team. It's been a fun 6 months being with them, and I thank again all the sponsors we have had giving us the free Digi images to use. I have chosen this Boy and Vintage First Car image by the Digi Doodle Shop to use. It's mostly colored with pencils, and decided to bling up his ride with some stickles. How fun this came out! The papers are Teresa Collins, and the sentiment I made from a Lawn Fawn alphabet set Jesse's ABC's. This card is off in the mail to my Mom. I'm sure she'll like it, as it will remind her of my son in that car! Thanks for stopping by, and go check out the challenge link above!

Hang in there Chickie!

Isn't this chickie just the cutest? This stamp set is from last month's Ippity release called One of THOSE Days. Now you know we all have days like these sometime!! I made this for my current DT at the Get Hippity with Ippity blog, where we are following a Design Seeds color palette. I watercolored in my chickie with Stampin Up ink colors, and also stamped the background with the same colors using the Ippity set Flowers+Friends=Priceless. I've been trying to be frugal and not buy every paper pack I see or like(he he!) So I make my own designer paper with stamps, which I have plenty to choose from! :) And it always make your artwork unique! All the die cuts are from Spellbinders. There are only a few days left to enter our monthly challenge, so hop to it!!

Circus Cuties

This week at the 2 Sister's Challenge blog our theme is Anything Goes, and our sponsor is The Digi Garden. I have chosen 3 images to use on my card, Daisy, Sammy, and Oscar. I think these are so cute, and perfect for any child!(or a circus fan! ) I colored them with my Pro Markers, used a Cuttlebug embossing folder, and the sentiment is from Hero Arts. Thanks for stopping by, and click the link above to enter this week!

A Splash of Color

The theme this time around at the Lawnscaping Challenge is Color Splash. Meaning, make a splash of color your focal point. I used the Lawn Fawn set On the Mend for this card, and colored in the flowers and vase with the watercolor technique using Distress Inks. I stamped the flowers again on a scrap piece and fussy cut them out after I colored them, then popped them onto the card front. I added pearls to each flower center and some twine for the vase to 'sit' on. I hope this fits the bill for their challenge! Lawn Fawn is the sponsor this week, and that means a chance to win a free stamp set!! Thank your for stopping by!!

Stripes or Plaids

That is our theme this week at the 2 Sister's Challenge blog. Our sponsor is Robyn's Fetish and I chose this cute duckie called Sailing Sailing. I have colored him in with my Pro Markers, the sentiment is made with tiny Stampin Up stamps, and the paper is from Teresa Collins. I added a stitched border around the edge as a frame. I only have a couple weeks of my DT term left at 2 Sister's. I have decided to not go for another 6 months. I have enjoyed playing along every week, and thank all the sponsors for giving us free digi stamps to use! Thanks for stopping by!

Playing Card Box

I have found another fun tutorial YouTube! This time it's a gift box made from playing cards. For those of you who make ATC's, you could use them as well because they are the same size as the cards. I suggest NOT using the dollar store cards, when you fold them, they crack and tear. I found these at my local flea market store for 25 cents. You can make two boxes from one deck of cards. I haven't decorated this one at all, because my son took it over. Speaking of the little guy, he wanted me to post his latest creation made and stamped all by himself! Except for the writing on the bottom which he wanted me to do. Also in the picture, is his pet Guinea Pig which he named Percy.
Here is the playing card tutorial:

More Pretty Butterflies!

Hey all! I am sharing my inspiration piece today for my DT over at the Get Hippity with Ippity blog! We have a color challenge going on with an optional added twist for wedding, anniversary, engagement, which I haven't done here! My card is, I suppose, encouragement, since I used a May Ippity release set called Courage is my Strength. I just LOVE this long sentiment! It's perfect for ALL women in my opinion!!!! To get my colors for the challenge I used four Stampin Up markers in Crushed Curry, Brocade Blue, Melon Mambo, and Rich Razzleberry. Cranberry Crisp cardstock, and a scrap of blue paper. I am pleased how this turned out! I hope you'll join us for this challenge! It is now a month long instead of bi-weekly! Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for stopping by!

Patterned Butterflies

I just got the new Ippity stamp set called Courage is My Strength, and thought that the solid image butterfly would look good with some pattern on it. So I took an Ippity background stamp and inked it up, then took the un-inked butterfly stamp and stamped onto the background stamp, then stamped onto paper. The result is that you get the pattern of the background stamp onto your solid image stamp. I love doing this, you get more mileage out of your stamp! I did this technique three times, using a different pattern each time. I then fussy cut them out, and popped them up onto the card. The pattern papers are from Teresa Collins. I haven't entered any challenges for awhile, so I'm linking this up to the sketch over at Chick Challenges {with Ippity}, and also to the Friends with Flair hop at the Unity blog. Hope you all have a nice weekend!!

Inside Out

Hello! We are onto another challenge this week at 2 Sister's Challenge Blog! Our theme is to decorate the outside and the inside of your card. Something I rarely do!! But it does finish off the card nicely. Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Stamps, and I chose this picnicing bear called Lunchtime. So I used the title for the sentiment which I placed inside the card. The papers are from Echo Park, and I used the Lawn Fawn alphabet set Jessie's ABC's for the sentiment. Thanks for looking in!

Scrap Page

I made this scrap page from Holly's Summer Fun Online Class. She has a class every few months with lots of great projects, complete instructions and videos, plus challenges. Holly is a Stampin Up! Demonstrator, so all of her projects uses only Stampin Up! supplies. She is having another class starting in July, and if you'd like more info on her class, the link is here. This page is 12x12 and uses DCWV papers. The hemp twine is from Stampin Up, and the ribbon is dyed from my stash. I haven't added any sentiments or journaling yet, will wait until I put pictures on it. I love the LO and have Holly to thank for it!
I am going to link this to the Simon Says Challenge Blog, where the theme is Anything Goes. And it is my first time entering there! Thank you for stopping in!
