Vacation Photos

I took lots of photos of our trip to Oscoda, Michigan, and I'll share a few of them. This is on our way out at 6:00 a.m. We stopped at Bob Evans for breakfast. Three quads in tow on our trailer, and the back of the truck is full of our camping gear. It's about a 6 hour drive up there, and we made good time despite all the weight we were hauling.

This is Lake Huron, very close to where we camped.

We did some sight seeing on our second day. This is high above the Ausable River. Then we went down below and saw lots of wildlife. Swans, turtles, frogs, and pretty dragonflies.

My Son and I took some time to play at the beach that was in the campground. The Ausable River is damed up in a few spots to create small lakes, and this one is called Foote Pond. The water is so much clearer here, my husband said it's because of the sand. There isn't any dirt to cause it to be brown. Lake Erie near where I live is not this clear.

The first photo is a hut that we came across about 6 miles from where we started. Obviously made for winter time riding. Some trails are for snow mobiles only, and this is a perfect spot to warm up. The second photo is a big sand hill that is fun to ride on. These are scattered throughout the miles and miles of trails in this area.

And our last night here, my Son and I walked to the very end of the campground where there are cabins and yurts to rent. I thought this was a pretty scene to take a photo of the river. We had a great time, and my husband can't wait to take another trip up here! The trail riding is great. You can ride all day, and never be on the same trail, and hardly see anyone else. There just isn't anything like this where we live.

Hi there! Finally getting to share something on my blog, it's been a couple weeks! Just been busy doing Summer time things, vacation, and work. I have been able to do a little crafting in between :)

This card is made with some of the goodies I picked out from my winnings from the Your Next Stamp challenge. The stamp set is called Box Full of Cuteness, and has many adorable little animals to peek out of the box image, and sentiments to go along too. The paper I used for the box is called For the Boys and has fun plaids, BBQ images, and is perfect for any Summer project. I fussy cut out the box and puppy, which I colored with Prisma pencils.

The pawprints at the top is a new YNS die that I also got. Goes perfectly with this stamp set. It's a single paw, and I just moved it along and die cut it. The cardstock, ink and twine are all from Stampin Up.

I'll share some photos of our vacation later. We took our four wheelers to Michigan and rode their awesome trails up there. Miles and miles of trails! I have uploaded a couple videos on my Youtube channel if you'd like to have a look. There is a link to my channel at my sidebar.

Thanks for having a look!!

Shell-Ebrate

Sharing a card I made for the current monthly Paper Smooches challenge which is Men this time.

My card isn't very 'Manly', but definitely for the Guys. I've used the Paper Smooches stamp set called Party Pose, and colored the cute turtle with my Spectrum markers and fussy cut him out. I've also used the PS birch tree dies, and for the grass under them the foliage dies, just cutting the tops off the leaves.

I used some retired SU papers for the background, and stamped the 'dude' from the PS Word Salad set, trimmed to a banner and added some dots to continue the sentiment into the inside.

These sentiments are all in the Party Pose set, and I added a funny strip of balloon paper. Thank you for stopping by!

Pastel Card Set

Sharing a card set I made following the current Joy Clair challenge.

June

I went with the pastel colors, and used the Joy Clair stamp set called Hugs & Smiles. I stamped the corner flower image with ink matching the cardstock color. Then I went over it again with white ink, and stamped it a little off from the original image to give a bit of a shadow look. All the cards are made this way, and I stamped different sentiments on each.

A quick card set to make, and a perfect little gift. Thanks so much for your visit!

Happy Heart

Sharing a card I made for the current Your Next Stamp challenge following their sketch:

I've used the YNS stamp set called Happy Heart. I inked it with YNS Black Olive ink, and colored only the heart with my Spectrum markers. I die cut it out with YNS stitched circle dies, and backed it with my favorite YNS papers, Hugs & Kisses. The sentiment is from the same set, and I went with a brown ink, and punched the ends into a banner.

A sweet card for any occasion. Thanks so much for visiting!
