Hearts a Flutter Banner Card

I so love the sweetness of this card! I CASE'd it from another demonstrator. Plus, it got me to use my much neglected Hearts a Flutter Framelits.

The card base is Smokey Slate with a layer of white. A perfect backdrop for the sweet die cuts, from Blushing Bride and Silver Glimmer papers. The patterned paper is from the All Abloom Stack, and it's tied off with some new white baker's twine that will be available Jan. 6th.

The sentiment is stamped with the darker Basic Grey, from the Four You stamp set. I didn't intentionally make it look gradient, it just came out that way. But I like it!!

Thank you for having a look today!

Star Treat Cup Ornament

Happy Christmas Eve!! I decided to make my Mom an ornament as a last little gift. I used the Star Framelits and the Circle Treat Cups to make this. I bought these cups a long time ago, and think I've only used one of them!! :)

I filled the treat cup with tiny jingle bells that Stampin' Up! sold a few years ago, and also some star sequins that are in the current catalog. The card stock star is cut from Elegant Eggplant, and the center is from Silver Glimmer paper.

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and to say Thank You for visiting my blog this year!!

Snowman Hat Christmas Gifts

Today I am sharing the Christmas gifts that I have been making. These are snowman hats that I first saw on Pinterest a couple months ago. I just had to make some of these, as I think they are the cutest!! I made 23 all together. One isn't pictured, as it's already made it's way to my upline Holly!

They are made with coffee, vegetable, and sauce cans glued onto an upside down plastic plate, then spray painted with black gloss paint. I went through two cans of spray paint!! Once dry, then the fun part of decorating them came! I tried to make each one a little different.

This larger one is going to my mom. I used an actual belt, and just cut it way down, then punched new holes in it for the buckle. The smaller ones are too small for the belts, so some are plain, and some have ribbons.

Here is a close up of the smaller ones. They are so cute! I hope everyone likes them, I am taking 19 of these to work for everyone there. You can even put a candle on the top, since they are plain.

Thanks for having a look at my Christmas gifts! Have a wonderful day!!

Window Card + Sneak Peek of new Stamp Set!!

Hi there! Today's card I made for a challenge at Splitcoast Stampers for the Creative Crew. The challenge is to make a window somewhere using dies/and or punches. For mine, I used the Deco Labels Framelits. I made the window, then used two dies to make the frame. I opted to not use a window sheet, but to just leave the window 'open'.

I've used two different stamp sets on this card, one is the White Christmas set that I've been showing lately, but the other is a brand new set that will be available to purchase January 6th, from the Occasions Catalog! It is called Sheltering Tree. It is a photopolymer stamp set that has images that can be used year round, and I must say that it coordinates with the White Christmas set perfectly!! Love it! Here is what I mean:
The tree, snowflakes and 'ground' images are from the new set, and the snowman and birdie are from the other!! They are the perfect size for each other!! The sentiments are also from the new set, and am loving the font!!

I have lots to do in the next two days! Finish making Christmas gifts(which I'll share on Monday!), clean the house, color my hair, do a little shopping, in NO particular order!! LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I always enjoy visitors!! Have a great and relaxed weekend!!

White Christmas Stamp Set

Today I have a card and video showcasing the adorable White Christmas stamp set! This set is perfect for your Winter cards, and not just Christmas! I think the images are so sweet, especially the snowman and polar bear!

I have also used the Rotary Stamp to make my sentiment, since this set has no winter ones. I hope you enjoy the video, and I chat a bit about my shaky hands and my rigged up tripod! lol

Thanks for having a look today!!

Gold Glimmer Gift Box

Today I have a glittered top gift box to share. This is going to my Mom. The bottom part is Cherry Cobbler card stock, and the top is made from the Gold Glimmer paper. It really dresses it up!

I added a simple tag from the Merry Everything stamp set, and used the matching Note Tag Punch. The ribbon is a retired color, but is the perfect width for this box!

I'm sure Mom will enjoy opening up this pretty box! Thanks for stopping by today!

He's quite simple to make, and thought my video would be a lot shorter, but I guess I'm a slow crafter!! LOL Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video!!

Christmas Stars

The main focal point of today's card uses the Star Framelits from Stampin' Up!. I die cut the larger one with two of the dies, and the smaller with just one. They are both cut from glimmer paper. I wanted the rest of the card to be simple, so I added a smaller piece of the Under the Tree designer paper behind the star, and a simple stamped sentiment backed with two punches. I also added a little twine to make the sentiment look like it was hanging.

Going to try and get a video tutorial out tomorrow. Don't know what I'll do....maybe another punch art. Thanks so much for having a look today!

Hot Chocolate Christmas Mug

Hello, and Happy Monday! The card I'm sharing today was inspired by a challenge at Splitcoast stampers. You were to pick a photo and make something inspired by that. I picked out a mug with a tree on it, and thought it would be cute to make my card a mug shape too!

To get the handle shape, I did some selective die cutting with the Ovals Framelits, only cutting half of the shape onto my card front. Then cut away the rest on your trimmer. I fiddled for awhile with the shape at the top for the 'hot chocolate', and ended up just using an oval cut in half.

The tree stamp and sentiment is from the Festival of Trees photopolymer stamp set. The red bulbs are a separate stamp that fits perfectly over the top.

Stampin' Up!'s sale and joining offer ends tomorrow for anyone interested in getting a steal!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hello! Today's card uses the very cute White Christmas stamp set, that is available out of the holiday catalog. Along with the snowman, there is a polar bear, a deer, and a cute car that you can add the small Christmas tree image to the top.

I love this stamp set! It goes along perfectly with all the other cute stamp sets that are available on the market. Change out the Christmas sentiment, and you have a set that is good all Winter long!! I know I'll be getting good use out of it!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just want to wish all my blogging friends a Happy Thanksgiving!! Thanks to everyone who stops by to see what I have been creating! I must admit, I was totally lacking in sending out Thanksgiving cards. I mailed one to my Mom, and had two others to go out, and had no stamps!! Did I go get any yesterday? Why no. So terrible of a paper crafter to be so last minute!!

So, here is a card for everyone on this day of Thanks. I made this one a few years ago, but is still a classic shape, and perfect for this time of year.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Merry Everything

Hello! I wanted to use a vellum envelope on a card, so I made this one with the envelope punch board. I made the larger green tag with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch, and slid it inside the envelope. The tag stamp is from the Merry Everything stamp set, and is punched out with the matching Note Tag punch. More of the Under The Tree designer papers for the backgrounds. Seriously loving these papers!!

Stampin' Up! is having an amazing sale starting Tuesday, November 25th. There are special bundles, items up to 50% off, and embossing folders for $5.00!!!! And I just placed an order yesterday!! LOL Guess I'll have to do some more shopping! ;)

Christmas Labels Card

Hello! Today I have a card that I've made using different layered labels. The front two are punches, and the bread tag label came from a SU! kit from last year that my upline Holly had sent me.

I like the layered look of all of them, and chose a small sentiment so they could really be seen. I wanted some silver embellishments, so I used the mini brads. I did color one rhinestone with a red alcohol marker, and put it on the green label.

I like this simple design, I think the pattern papers and label shapes add just enough. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Side Step Christmas Card

Hi there! Just a quick post today to share another card I made for a Splitcoast Stampers challenge. The challenge was to create a step card or steps.

I haven't made one of these for a few months, and am pleased how it turned out. The flower was made with punches, and I left some space at the bottom of the tag so I could sign it.

This will fit into a regular envelope, and is flat enough for mailing! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!!

Corals and Crumb Cake

I've been playing along with some challenges over on Splitcoaststampers. This card was made for a color challenge using the colors Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, and Crumb Cake. There is also a bonus to use the emboss resist technique.

The large circle I embossed the flowers with clear ep, then sponged on Calypso Coral ink. The Crumb Cake panel was dry embossed with the tiny triangles folder. I love the soft colors of this combo, and turned it into a pretty Birthday card.

I'm enjoying the challenges over there. Being a Stampin' Up! demo, I'm not allowed to enter other companies challenges, and I miss that. So this fills my void. And it doesn't matter what current or retired SU! products I use, the challenges are just for fun!!

Thank you for having a look today!

Christmas Ornaments Punch Art

I was inspired to make this card after seeing Alex's Chinese Lantern punch art. I thought that by punching them smaller, they would look like ornaments. I again used the new pretty Christmas papers for the ornaments.

For the greenery, I've used the branch stamp from the For All Things set. I just stamped over and over with two different greens until I thought is was full enough. Plus, this stamp image has a bow around the stems, so I wanted to cover that up.

The sentiment is clear embossed. Can't really tell in the photo. I went with a dark card base, so the front panel would really stand out.

I was surprised to get today off from work!! I ALWAYS work Monday's!! LOL So I am totally enjoying it!! :) Thanks so much for having a look!!

Mantel Clock Punch Art

Today I have this awesome mantel clock punch art to share! I follow a blog called Alex's Creative Corner, and she makes the most amazing punch art! You must go check out her creations!! Here is a direct link to her mantel clock share.

It is made from the new Note Tag punch that is in Stampin' Up!'s holiday catalog. It's the same punch that I featured in my video yesterday. I don't have any clock face bezels, so I stamped a very old SU! clock stamp, and just punched out the center. It worked pretty good! I also stamped a small flower from a hostess set on the upper and lower part of the clock. I wanted to decorate mine for Christmas, but here is a pic before:
I added the leaves from the Bird Builder punch, and punched two different sized circles from the silver glimmer paper. I wanted them to look like Christmas bulbs. I colored some rhinestones red with alcohol markers for berries.

The sentiment is inked with red and green, and punched also with the note tag. The patterned papers are the gorgeous new Under The Tree specialty paper. It is a very thick kraft type, and is double sided. I just love this card!! I most always only make one of each Christmas card I send out, but I think I will have to make a few of these! ;)

Thanks for having a look, and thanks to Alex for her wonderful punch art!!

Making Your Own Stamps

Hi there! Today I have a video that I share how to make stamps with the leftover rubber that comes in certain Stampin' Up! clear mount stamp sets. For this example, I've used the Merry Everything stamp set. But, there are other stamp sets that you can also do this to.

I keep all of the rubber leftovers from my clear mount, and wood mount stamp sets. Sometimes I ask myself 'why?'(lol) but I may find a use for them someday!!! I just can't make myself throw them out!!

So, I hope you enjoy the video, and I did not mention that you could use another punch shape as well, instead of the note tag punch. The decorative label, artisian label, oval punch, any punch shape for that matter. Just trace the shape onto the rubber, and continue with the same steps.

Flowering Flourishes for Christmas

Hi there! Today I have used the Flowering Flourishes stamp set to make another Christmas card. This stamp set has 3 images, a large, medium, and small, and each one is a little different. I've used the medium image in Cherry Cobbler ink to give it a Christmas feel.

The green panel was stamped with the small dotty image from the Gorgeous Grunge set. I added some texture with the Fancy Fan embossing folder in yellow to add a bit of non-traditional color. The sentiment is from the Peace Love & Cupcakes set, which is again perfect for Christmas!

The layout of the card is similar to a card that my upline, Holly, had sent me. Just a little larger in size. Thanks for stopping by for a visit today, have a good one!

Stamped Patterned Paper

While waiting for my Christmas papers to arrive, I decided to stamp my own using the Bordering Blooms photopolymer stamp set. There are four different border stamps in this set, and I have used the two that nest together.

I stamped the first in Garden Green, then the center with Cherry Cobbler. I also stamped two flowers from the Flower Shop stamp set, then punched and sponged each one. Some punched leaves from the Bird Builder punch added some needed greenery.

The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, and it is punched and layered. I wanted to go with a soft card base, so I used Pistachio Pudding. I like that I can use non-holiday stamps for my Christmas cards. It makes your stamps get more use, and saves from buying more. But then again, who doesn't want more stamps?!! lol

Have a great day!!
