Springtime Hello

I am anxiously awaiting for Spring to come!! Just to have temperatures at 50 or above would be wonderful!! Today's card is one I made for the challenge at The Paper Shelter blog. The theme is to use animals, and I have chosen to use a Paper Shelter image called Teddy Bear Picking Flowers. I printed him out onto water color paper, and used Distress inks and a paintbrush to color him in. Water coloring takes me a long time, this image took about an hour and 15 minutes to complete! But it is oh so cute! When I was done, I really didn't want to figure what papers and such to use, so I grabbed all sorts of bits that was on my desk. Die cuts from my grab bag, ribbon, enamel dots, just anything that was in sight! It all goes together fairly well I think! I searched for a stamped sentiment but there was none to be found! So a Unity stamp set was right in front of me, so I used one from it, and paper punched it out with a scrap of water color paper. My punch didn't like it very much!! The paper is so thick. Anyway, as always, thank you for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

Best 'Bunnies'

Just wanted to share some new goodies that I bought recently! First is the Honey Bunny stamp set from Mama Elephant. I was totally smitten with these cuties the first time I saw them, and new I had to have them come live with me :) The stamp set has other cute bunnies and fun sentiments as well. I've seen so many ways to use these already from their DT, but when I got them, I knew I had this fence die from Memory Box that I thought would be cute to use with them. And the die is the perfect size too, bonus!! I colored the two bunnies with alcohol markers, and fussy cut them out. Another new goodie are these papers from Lawn Fawn. I knew the sunburst paper would be perfect for the background, and the green polka dot makes cute grass. It took me awhile to figure out where to put the sentiment. It overcrowded the bottom of the card, and didn't look right at the top, until I thought of making it a wavy banner. I curled it up a bit and adhered it to only two places. Now it looks like it's waving in the air, perfect! Here is a close up of it:
Thanks for stopping by and checking out some of my new things!!

Hello Sunshine

Hey there! Today I have a card to share which was inspired by the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge with this inspirational color/photo:
PKC-14-02
I am still new to the Peachy Keen Stamps, and have only two of their faces stamp sets. The one I used on this card is called 1/2" Funshine Faces Side Views. Their faces stamps will go perfectly with my punch art, which on this card is the sun. I stamped the face on the sun to shine down on the die cut clouds. And the cloud looks happy to have the sun shining on him! :) I used a few colors from the inspiration, but was more inspired by the stripes and polka dots. The designer papers are from Lawn Fawn. Thanks for having a look today!!

Such a Doll

I have a card to share today that I made for the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge. It is a designers draft challenge using this sketch:

I used the Paper Smooches stamp set called Knick Knacks, that I just got the other day. I have admired this set for so long, and am so happy to finally have it! The Rageddy Ann doll image is just too cute, and I had fun coloring her with my Spectrum markers. The sentiment is from the same set. I still have my original doll from when I was a child around here somewhere, she is a large one, like 3 feet tall! I loved that big doll, and still do!! Thanks so much for dropping in today!

Punch Art Panda

I have a cute punch art Panda that I made for the new challenge at Just Punch It, click on my link at the sidebar to enter! The panda was made with circle punches, a heart punch, and the word window punch for his arms. The shamrock was made with the same heart punch, and I drew a line down to his arm for the stem. The two clouds are a Unity background stamp that I cut them out from. Some green washi tape for him to stand on, and the sentiment I made with a Lawn Fawn alpha stamp set called Jessie's ABC's.
Thanks for stopping by today!!

The Stamping Boutique Challenge

Hello, and Happy Friday!! Today starts a brand new challenge at The Stamping Boutique!! Our theme for this week is to use a cut out/punch. Now, my followers know I have paper punches :), so I have used a few on this card. The Stamping Boutique image I use is called Smoochie, and she is colored with my Spectrum Noir markers. I cut it out, and used a SU border punch along it's edge. The sentiment is also from SU and is is nested on 3 oval punches. The designer paper is from Jillibean Soup. I do hope you can join us this week, and that you check out what the rest of the DT has made! Thank you for dropping by!

View Finder

Hey there! Today's card is inspired from the Lawnscaping Challenge this week, which is to 'Dust em' Off' use those supplies that haven't seen love in awhile.

So what I dusted off is the Tim Holtz Alterations Picture Wheel die that I have had for 11 months now, and have never used! I did try to make something with it when I first got it, but was not pleased, and haven't touched the die since. So after I die cut and inked the edges, I sat there staring at it for about 10 minutes trying to figure out what to do. The openings in the wheel are too close together for my taste, so instead of putting little images in each one, I decided to make a separate spinning wheel behind it. That worked perfectly, and am very pleased with this die now!! :) The papers are from the Lawn Fawn Into the Woods collection, and the stamped sentiments and images are from the Lawn Fawn stamp sets, So Much to Say, and Critters in the Burbs. Here is a quick little video I made showing the spinning wheel:

Thanks so much for stopping by for a look today!!

Glittery Shopping Cart

Hey all, I have a very CAS card to show off today. Paper Smooches is celebrating their 3rd Anniversary, and have a little challenge going on at the Paper Smooches Blog. Create anything using Paper Smooches products for a chance to win a prize. So, I thought I would break out the Paper Smooches shopping cart die that hasn't seen some love in awhile. I decided to die cut it out of silver glitter paper. I put the glitter side down, then the die. Which gave it a reversed image of the original, pretty cool! I only have a couple Paper Smooches stamp sets, and none of the sentiments fit my shiny shopping cart, so this one is computer generated. Hope that's alright for the challenge. I paper punched two 1/4" circles for the center of the wheels. Who wouldn't love a glittery cart on their next shopping trip?!! :) Here is a close up of the cart:
Hard to capture a good pic of the glitter paper.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Love Birds

I have another Valentine to share today! This one uses a Paper Shelter digi called Birds Couple. I have colored them with my Letraset ProMarkers, Set 1 and Blending Set Muted. The sentiment stamp is from Unity. I kept this CAS to showcase the 'tweet' couple! :) I am entering this card to The Paper Shelter challenge which is Be My Valentine, and also entering into Passion For ProMarkers challenge which is Have a Heart. Thank you for having a look, and Happy Valentine's to you!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello, and Happy Friday! Today I made a card to share with the Unity peeps for their Friends with Flair Day! And since it's Valentine's Day, I made a sweet little love note for a friend. I stamped the heart envelope stamp with Hero Arts White Dye Ink, from the Unity stamp set How You Doin? I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line in all up, then I colored in a few of the hearts with my Spectrum marker. I then stamped the heart from the Unity Itty Bitty Hello My Friend, and cut it out. The sentiment is from the same set, and I die cut it out with a Spellbinders die, and attached it to the heart. Popped it up with some foam tape, and added a couple rhinestones. Thank you for stopping by, and hug the one you love today! :)

Punch Art

Hello, and Happy Monday! Today's card share is one that I made for the sketch challenge at my challenge blog, Just Punch It. Her hair is made with Stampin Up's Owl Builder punch, and is upside down. I cut off the feet, and trimmed his head a bit for her hair. The head band is a double punched circle, and her face is a full circle punch. One of my Christmas presents to myself was two stamp sets from Peachy Keen, and this face is from one of them. Just perfect for my punch art. I gave her some earrings with rhinestones too! The frame is a Sizzix die cut from chipboard that I embossed in gold. The background is a Hero Arts stamp, and the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set. Thanks for having a look today!!

Sweet Valentine

My Son loves dogs and cats, and also loves to pretend to be them, so I made him a Valentine that has a cute pup and kitten. I followed along with the Lawnscaping Challenge which is to use dots and hearts.

I stamped the dog and cat from the Lawn Fawn set Critters in the Burbs' onto my card base, then colored them in a bit, then stamped them both again and fussy cut them out. The pup was stamped onto Lawn Fawn paper from the Into the Woods collection, and the cat was stamped onto some Stampin Up paper. The sentiment I made with Quinn's ABC's, and colored them with my Spectrum markers. The heart between them was paper punched. Here is a close up of the dog and cat:
Thank you for stopping by today!!

Celebrate!

Happy Friday! Today I am celebrating with Unity for Friends with Flair day! I used a Unity Itty Bitty called Celebrate from the Co-Brand Webster's Pages. Perfect card for the guys I think!! The red patterned paper is from Jillibean Soup, and the aqua paper from Lawn Fawn. I paper pieced the sail, and popped it up. Thank you for having a look, and enjoy the FWF hop!!

Valentine Bear

Hey everyone! Today starts a new challenge at The Stamping Boutique challenge blog! The theme this time is Clean and Simple. I chose to use Patch Valentine Bear, and colored him with my Spectrum markers. Isn't he just 'sew' cute?!! I decided to add some stitching down the sides so it wasn't too plain. Then I stamped the sentiment from a Paper Smooches set, and cut it out into a heart shape.
The Stamping Boutique challenges will now be weekly! That's right, every Friday there will be a new challenge posted! We have 2 teams on our DT, and we will be taking turns every other Friday. I hope you can join us! The winner of each challenge will win digi images from The Stamping Boutique online digi store!!
Thank you for having a look today!!!
