White With One Color

When I became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I knew I would have to give up entering all the challenges from various blogs that I had done in the past. But.............there are still a few blogs and challenges that I can enter because they are not sponsored by any company, no prizes, just for fun, and you win a badge, and possibly be featured in a blog post.

So, with saying all that, I found a blog called CAS on Sunday. It's a clean and simple challenge blog with different themes to follow every two weeks. I am so happy to be able to enter challenges again, I've really missed it!

Their theme this time around is White: Make a white card with one other color. I have chosen Calypso Coral for mine. The card base and layer is in Whisper White, the sentiment is from the stamp set Choose Happiness, and the flourish is from Flowering Flourishes. I did round the corners to soften it up a bit.

Thank you for stopping in for a look, and Thank You CAS on Sunday for the challenge!!

Inlaid Die Cuts

I have a very simple version of this technique today, just using circle framelits. The papers are from the All Abloom stack, and I chose small patterns so they would show up in the small die cut rings. I like the look of a smooth flush finish, and of course you could use any die cut shape.

I added two punched butterflies, candy dots, and the sentiment is from the Sheltering Tree set. I didn't want to add too much, to keep the focus on the center.

Stampin' Up!'s retired list goes up tomorrow! Wonder what will be staying and going?! Also, the butterfly framelits and stamp set are back in stock! They've been sold out for awhile now!

Thanks so much for visiting today!!

Kinda Eclectic

Hi there! I sure haven't posted much this week. I have made a few projects, but kept forgetting to take pics of them!! Anyway, today's card uses the stamp set called Kinda Eclectic. I used every stamp in this set, and the name says it all. A fun mix of images that all look wonderful together.

I'm not that good with collage work, but I'm proud of myself for pulling this one off! :) I didn't have any plan when starting to stamp, I just went here and there with the images. The two butterflies match the punches, so super easy to do.

I also ended up using six different colors as well! They are Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Pear Pizzazz(two greens I'm counting as one), So Saffron, Crumb Cake, Tangelo Twist, and Marina Mist. I'm starting to take quite a liking to the blue of Marina Mist. So you will more than likely see more of it! :)

I did emboss the yellow panel with the Perfect Polka Dots folder, just to add more interest, and the paper doily added a girly flair.

That's it for me today, thank you for visiting!!

Feeling Girly with Blushing Bride and Lace

Hello, and Happy Friday!! I was in a girly, girly mood the other day while crafting, and this card came to life. It uses soft, pretty colors, and of course the pink Blushing Bride for the flower and card base. The flower is from the Crazy About You stamp set, and I fussy cut it out, and added a matching candy dot to the center.

The Dictionary background stamp added a bit of vintage to it by stamping it in Sahara Sand, then I stamped a small strip with the I Love Lace background stamp in Soft Sky. I did punch the edge to make it look like a real lace border.

The leaves were punched out with the Bird Builder punch, and the sentiment is from the Peace, Love and Cupcakes set and layered with more punches. A few pearls added the last girly touch.

Today is the last day for the free shipping offer!! I got my order in the other day! :)

Better Than Email

Today I have a card tutorial that focuses on the Better Than Email stamp set. This is one of the stamp sets that is on the monthly photopolymer releases that Stampin' Up! offers. There are lots of cute images that can be used on envelopes, backs of cards, but I used one as the postage stamp on my card. The snail mail is so fun!

Hope you enjoy the video, I of course make mistakes and almost lose my main image, but that's the way the film rolls for me!! :)

In The Eye of The Beholder

I love this quote from the Moon Lake stamp set. What you may look at and see, another may see something completely different.

That's why I chose this tree image from the Festival of Trees stamp set, and inked it with Perfect Plum. Goes along with the quote I think. Wouldn't it be pretty to have a few purple trees around?!

The grassy area and the clouds are from the Sheltering Tree stamp set. I love to mix and match stamp sets together. I also added tiny pearls to the flowers of the tree, may be hard to see.

A few promotions to mention with Stampin' Up! this week. Now through April 10th, you can get free shipping on all online orders! The new weekly deals have also been posted, there is 3 sets of Framelits, ribbon, buttons, and a flower punch! Click on the links at my sidebar to see all the specials!

Hello There Hostess Stamp Set

Today's card uses the hostess only stamp set called Hello There. I picked this set up last year when the current catalog came out, and have used it a few times. But, I thought I'd share a little more of the images with this project.

The design came from a card I saw on Pinterest, but was a few years old, and I didn't have the exact stamp set that was used, but I knew this set has a fancy round stamp, so that's what I used. The colors are Old Olive, Marina Mist, and Chocolate Chip. The stamped frame is punched out, then has it's matching card stock on top.

There is a sentiment that fits perfectly in the center of this round shape, but wanted to use this larger one at the bottom and put some matching candy dots along side it. The flower, heart and butterfly are all punched out, then ran through an embossing folder.

So, how can you get this exclusive hostess only set? Which is only $9.00 by the way! Gather your friends for a workshop, or collect orders yourself to reach a minimum order of $150.00 then you automatically qualify for hostess benefits! It really doesn't take much time to gather that much in sales either, so contact me if you would like more info or to have a workshop!
