Home for Christmas Tag

The launch of Stampin' Up!'s new Holiday catalog is tomorrow!! I've used the new Home for Christmas designer series papers on this tag that I made for a CAS challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.

I simply punched out one of the Santa's from the paper and backed it with another real red punch out. The striped paper is the reverse side. Just a few embellishments with washi tape, twine and ribbon.

The sentiment uses the rotary stamp and the Snow Place stamp set. The rotary stamp is perfect for creating your own words.

I have a busy week ahead giving my kitchen a bit of a face lift. Painting cupboards, ceiling, and a little painting on the walls. I will share photos when I'm finished! I also discovered our kitchen was originally part of a wrap around porch. It has a beautiful wood ceiling, and the one wall is the original wood siding which I am going to expose part of. I love the rustic look, so how perfect that will look. Very excited!!

Snow Place Stamped on Window Sheets

I wanted to see what the cute snowman from the Snow Place stamp set looked like when stamped on window sheets. I used white StazOn, and a dark blue background to make them really stand out. I think they look cute! I did flip the clear window sheet over so the stamping faced the inside, just to keep it from getting messed up at all.

One thing you must do after stamping with StazOn with photopolymer stamps, is to clean your stamp right away. The permanent ink loves to stay photopolymer, so a good cleaning right away is recommended.

The little bit of snow is two punch outs from the Tree Builder punch. It made perfect little fluffs of snow. The polka dot paper is from this years Sale-a-Bration, it's the resist paper that I sponged real red ink onto, then die cut an oval from the middle. A few clusters of more punch shapes, and the sentiment is from the same stamp set.

My first Christmas card for this season!! The release of the new Holiday catalog is just a few days away!! I have put the items numbers for this stamp set and matching framelits below. Or you can buy the bundle and save 15%!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Beaded Flowers ATC

I have not made an Artist Trading Card in years. After finding the sheets that I used to put regular trading cards in like my football, motorcycle, looney tunes and rock cards in, I thought that I should use the sheets to store ATC's in. So I'm off to create little works of art to fill these pages through time.

The card above was prompted to be made for the Try It On Tuesday's challenge Sending You Flowers. Use one or more flowers on your project. These are die cut chip board flowers that I encrusted with my long forgotten micro beads and glass glitter.

A little stamping from the Flowering Flourishes and Choose Happiness stamp sets, sponging around the edges and that's it. A quick little card to start off my ATC book.

Here is a pic of the sheets I will be using:
Each page holds nine cards, and I have dozens of them! Surely enough to keep me busy for some time ;)

Grateful Panda

A quick post sharing a card I made yesterday for a sketch challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.

I wanted to use this cute stamp set from Mama Elephant. First I had the panda holding the pumpkin, then decided to put it beside him. It was covering him up too much :) The pumpkin was made with three punched circles(3/4") then glued together after sponging.

All other supplies are from Stampin' Up! including the Pretty Petals 6x6 papers, which look perfect on this Fall card. the sentiment is from the For All Things set.

Paper Tea Cup

I found the cutest tutorial on YouTube for this paper tea cup, and of course had to make some! I'm joining another challenge today at Spiltcoast Stampers which is a color challenge. The colors are Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron and Calypso Coral.

I sponged the Irresistibly Yours papers in Wisteria Wonder for the panels around the cup. Added some punched flowers and the Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment is punched out with part of the Bow Builder punch. It looks like a banner, and fits this small sentiment perfectly.

I think these little cups are the cutest to fill with candies for a sweet gift. I'm sure I'll be making more. Thanks for stopping by!

Cute Critter Challenge

I'm joining a challenge today over at Spiltcoaststampers, and the CAS challenge is to use 'cute critters'. So I decided to use the cute penguin from the upcoming Holiday Catalog Snow Place stamp set.

After stamping the penguin, I die cut him out using the matching framelits set. I wanted him to have a little house, so I made him an igloo :) I used the circle framelits, and only partially cut a circle(4th die from outside of set). I punched an opening using the extra large oval. Then I embossed it with the brick wall folder, it made perfect snow blocks ;)

I sponged the igloo and card front with Soft Sky, and stamped the snow flakes in the same color. They also come in this stamp set as well as the sentiment. Since they are photopolymer, it was super simple to stamp the sentiment straight.

That's it for me today, thank you for stopping by!

Coloring the Timeless Elegance Designer Paper

I bought the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper with my last order, and was very pleased with how lovely the papers are. I first decided to show them off in an album that I've had for years.

You can see some of the pretty designs, no help from the glare of my Ott Lite. The roses paper really got my attention, and wondered how it would look if I colored them.

So I got out the alcohol markers and just filled in the roses. I used Wisteria Wonder marker in the first pic above, and a Soft Green Pro Marker. I think it came out so pretty, and you don't have to do any shading since the paper has done that for you! I backed the card with a black pattern paper to make it stand out, and die cut a movers and shapers die in Mint Macaron which matched perfectly to the green marker. :)

Next I wanted to try a pink one, so I used Melon Mambo.

I haven't made this into anything yet, may just put it into the album. But that pink really makes the roses stand out! I'm loving this paper!

I Love Pandas

Ever since I was a young girl, I have always loved Pandas. I have received many Panda figures, animals, posters, etc. as gifts throughout the years. And still have them all. I even have a small panda tattoo on my ankle!

Anyway, I bought this stencil set by Plaid many, many years ago. My first intentions was to stencil with paint making pillows, curtains, and framed art. Well, for some reason, I never got to those projects. But I still have all the stencils. Now that I do mostly paper crafts, I can still use these!

I was prompted to break these out because of the 'use stencils' theme at Try It On Tuesday's challenge. This is a large stencil, my card stock is a full 8 1/2" x 11" sheet. I stenciled on the panda using sponges and ink, and added a couple bamboo shoots on the side as well. I wanted to do a little stamping, so the fern images from the Butterfly Basics set worked perfectly.

I got the quote from the back of a Card Maker magazine, and I hand wrote it onto card stock.

Thanks so much for stopping in!

Snow Place and Snow Friends Stampin' Up! 2015 Holiday Sneak!

I know Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Catalog doesn't go live until September 1st, but I am just so giddy about this new stamp set and matching framelits!!

The snow Place stamp set has 22 Photopolymer images. And the matching Framelits has 15 dies! You can mix and match all the accessories for the snowmen, and there is also an adorable penguin too!!

Since it is still Summer, my card here shares a warm scene but with the snowmen telling you to have a 'chill'!! So cute!! I paired this set with the Kinda Eclectic stamp set(sun) and also the Sprinkles of Life set(clouds). The die cut hat and bow tie are from the Pretty Petals designer paper 6x6 stack, as well as the grass.

I hope you enjoyed this look at an upcoming set from the Holiday Catalog! It is chock full of bundles(stamps and matching dies), of all sorts of styles. Wait till you see it!!! :)

Thank you for visiting!!

Punch Art Window Curtains

I first saw this punch art on Pinterest, and thought it was just the cutest! I used the same or similar colors as the original as well.

The punch for the curtains is the Pennant punch, and it's original matching stamp set Pennant Parade, which are both now retired from Stampin' Up! The valance is the scalloped border punch(also retired). Even though these aren't available to purchase, I can't just let them sit there unused!! I'm sure you could find them on ebay :)

The flowers are from a current set, Cottage Greetings, and I inked them with various markers, Garden Green, Orchid Opulence, Rich Razzleberry, and Baja Breeze. The hello sentiment is from the Pennant Parade set, and is inked with Wisteria Wonder to match the curtains.

The little butterfly punch is from Creative Memories, one I've had for many years. The white panel is embossed with an older Cuttlebug folder. And a little twine was used for the curtain tie backs.

I think this turned out really cute, and I have a couple people in mind who would like to receive this in the mail :)

Thank you for having a look, and maybe you can look and see what you can create with your punches!

Complete Paper Piecing

Today I'm sharing two images/cards that I have paper pieced. This time, they are completely pieced together. The first one is my favorite Paper Smooches image from the Knick Knacks stamp set.

I started by stamping the whole image onto a base piece of card stock. Blushing Bride for this image, which is also her skin tone. From there, I just picked out different papers that I wanted to use and stamped the image onto them and started fussy cutting. I do enjoy to fussy cut! All of the different layers are all done this way, even her tiny little hands. The sentiment for this comes from the Paper Smooches Word Salad set, and all other supplies are from Stampin' Up!

The next one is from the same stamp set, and the process is exactly the same.

The sentiment comes with this same stamp set, and all other supplies are from Stampin' Up!

I really enjoyed making these, and cutting everything out, layering them up, and seeing how fun designer papers can make images look so different than just coloring them in.

Thanks so much for visiting today!!
