Got Chocolate Milk?

Of course I love chocolate milk!! And so does my son! When I first saw this Paper Smooches Crystal Clear stamp set, I knew I wanted to make a milk glass out of that jar. Well, the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge this week, is a picture perfect challenge using this photo:
So I went with the brown colors and made chocolate milk!! I used the matching Paper Smooches dies for this set, and also the Borders 1 die set to give my milk a curve in the jar. I did add a cute red checked 'tablecloth' from My Mind's Eye papers to give the jar something to sit on. The sentiment at the bottom is a partial stamping from the PS Needle Little Love stamp set. I may have to go make some chocolate milk now!! Thank you for having a look!!

The Beautiful Country

I just received a blog candy package from the Oh so kind Michelle, and had to use some of the pretty My Mind's Eye papers she sent! Also in that goodie package was a JustRite stamp set called A Day in the Country, so I had to ink that up! I colored the barn image with watercolor pencils and a blender pen. I die cut it out with the Spellbinders Lacey Ovals set. And I did the same with the sentiment. I found the JustRite Papercrafts blog, and they have a Friday challenge, which is a sketch.
This is my first time entering there! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Many Greetings

I have not played along with the Lawnscaping Challenge for so, so long. But when I saw this week's challenge to use Dimension, the idea for this card popped into my head, so I went with it!
There is a whole lot of talent over there, so you need to check it all out!! I love adding dimension to my cards with foam tape. It just adds the perfect touch to any image. All the sentiments are from the Lawn Fawn set So Much To Say. I just stamped them onto strips of paper, and used a circle punch inadvertantly to round the corners. The dainty flower that I used on the background comes from the Mother's Day stamp set from Lawn Fawn. A few sequins as an accent, and done! Thanks so much for having a look at my ideas for dimension, until next time!

Sweet Summer Friend

I was inspired by the Cool Shades challenge at the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge to make this summery card with these colors:
I used the Butterflies 3 wise dies from Paper Smooches. I don't have the coordinating stamp set, so I took the flames from the fire stamp in the Happy Camper set and inked it in Versamark, and added some 'swirls' to the butterflies wings. The sentiment is also from the same set. My 'grass' at the bottom was cut with the Borders 1 dies from PS. It makes a cute bumpy ground. So, that's it from me today, thanks so much for stopping by!!

Pastel Hello

Happy Friday!!! That means it's Friends With Flair Day over on the Unity blog! Link up your Unity creations there! For today's card I used The Simple Things kit. I love the flowers and leaves stamps in this kit, and they look awesome double stamped, which I did here. The sentiment is from a grab bag, so not sure which kit that one is from! Thanks so much for having a look today!
Other supplies used: Stampin Up cardstock and ink(new in colors!) Stampin Up ribbon and embossing folder, Memory Box buckle die.

Gift Card Holder

Hello everyone! I am sharing a gift card holder card that I made to play along with the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge which is a sketch this week:
The gift card holder is actually a Paper Smooches die called Shopping Bag, and you adhere it to the card front, cute right?! I also used two Paper Smooches stamp sets, Shadows for the subtle background, and Market Fresh for the sentiment and money. I also used the Borders 1 dies on the cardstock that the sentiment is stamped on. I was going for a ragged receipt look! Here is a side view of the die cut:
I am also sending this to the Paper Smooches Be Our Guest, for a chance to be a guest designer on their blog! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Shrink Plastic

So I found this wonderful shrink plastic from Darcie's Heart and Home when I was at the scrapbook show a few month's ago. I love this product! When it shrinks, it is very thick, and I can get it to be almost completely flat. PLUS, it's printable!! Yes, just run it through your printer with ANY image you have!!! The one I used is a pre-colored digi stamp from The Paper Shelter. Check the link on my sidebar to check out their images, they are just adorable!! I printed this image to fill an A2 card front size. Trimmed it out, shrunk it, then attached a magnet to the back. Love how the colors stay so bright and crisp!! This has shrunk down to about 2 inches!! Isn't it cute?!! I am entering this to The Paper Shelter challenge, which is Flower Power. Thank you for stopping by!

Gold Tag

I am playing along with this week's Paper Smooches SPARKS trend watch challenge which is all about the gold!
I'm not a huge fan of gold, unless it's in jewelry form!! But, I thought I'd give myself a challenge. So instead of using gold paper, or embossing powder I stitched this heart from the Paper Smooches Needle Little Love stamp set in gold. Here is my progress:
I first stamped the heart with black Stazon ink onto a piece of muslin.
Then I started cross stitching following the pattern in the heart.
Then I trimmed around the muslin and frayed the edges. I wanted to add more gold, so I painted a piece of watercolor paper with gold acrylic paint, and glued on the stitched fabric piece. I decided to make a tag out of it and attached a small bow, punched a hole and threaded some more floss through it. So that's my interpretation of using gold in my paper crafts! Thanks so much for having a look!

My Other Crafty Life

Hello all! I wanted to share my other blog I just set up for sharing all the other crafty items that I make! My Creative Life is a typepad blog. I hope you will all be able to comment on it, as you don't need to have a typepad account. Anyway, here is one pic of what I shared over there today.
I hope you'll stop by for a visit!! I do so many other crafty things other than card making and scrapbooking, and I wanted another place to share them. Hope you've had a great weekend, and are ready for a new week! I've enjoyed watching my garden grow over the past few days from all the rain that's been coming down!
