Raggedy Ann Punch Art Card

I still love the raggedy ann dolls. I remember the one I had when I was little, and I even bought another one as an adult! :)  Anyway, I first saw this on Pinterest. It was pinned from an auction site selling card kits. I just had to make her!!

The main card is cut using the circle framelits. The largest circle is a scallop, and I used a folded piece of card , and didn't cut the full circle so I could have a fold at the top. A scallop circle punch for her bit of bangs, along side the bow from the bow builder punch.

Circle punches for her eyes, tree punch for her nose, and I had to add a tiny heart for her lips from the heart border punch. Her smile and eyelashes/brows were hand drawn.

This card would be perfect for any Girl, young or older!! I know I'd love to receive it!! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

This brought a tug at my heart. My Mom made and sold
Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls from the front lawn of our home from about 1972-2001 when her dementia made it not possible any longer. Hundreds and hundreds of dolls were loved and sent all over the world. I even had a remarkable moment when I found out last year that my DIL, who lived two towns over, had one of my Mom's dolls that her grandmother had bought for her (it took years for me to get my Mom to sign her dolls). When my son and DIL got married, my Mom had already passed and my DIL's grandmother was in a nursing home also with dementia unable to attend the wedding but the thought that the grandmother's had met some time in the past was a wonderful meant-to-be experience.
Thank you for this reminder and I'm definitely going to make one of these in memory of my Mom who was my inspiration both in life and in crafting!
